Hey Ron, The management at KDAV asks us to play the music from the 40s, 50s, 60s and quality songs from the early 70s. They also ask us to bring our own musical tastes (within bounds) to our individual radio show. That is why I have the freedom to match songs and styes together to bring a fresh wind (need I say Winter Winds) to my radio program. Thus, last night, I could play "A Bad Case Of The Blues" by Dinah Washingtom; follow it with Mickey's "Another Lovely Day;" and then cap off the set with Nat King Cole's "What'll I do." I've been doing that with Mickey's music since I first heard it in Nashville in 1969 (When Charlie Day could move fast! and Tootsie's was out the back door of the Ryman and a steel guitar shop was next to Tootsie's with Ernest Tubb's shop directly across the street). The music fits, and it doesn't matter to me who the artist is, as long as it fits what I want to say with the music I have at hand. My goal is to make my radio show flow as smooth as Mick's music. All goals are not obtainable. But, If I aim high, I know I won't shoot myself in the foot! Thanks for Listening to KDAV.com from 9:PM - Midnight (Texas Time). By the way, I't OK to email me song requests while I'm on the air, too. My listeners help me program my show (again, within bounds).

Bless you for your kind words. Jimmie Mac
