Unseen, unheard, and unknown, only by Dave's review, Sue and I went to a place called the Purple Onion in Saluda, NC. Saturday night to hear Jack Williams and friends. The food was excellent and the arrangement was a neat place to sit and watch a performance.... PERFORMANCE!! For three hours,we were in awe by Jack's playing and singing. What a joy to watch his guitar playing as it was melted into him as one. This guy either had a pact with the devil or blessed by GOD.Wow, we were blown away. Not only Jack, but the back up was superb with Susan and Cary Taylor. Susan on Banjo and Guitar. Cary on Base Fiddle.. Also Danny Harlow on Mandolin and Fiddle. He also brought April Amick and her cousin Bob Strickland, to do a set. She did a number called Rolling on the Road which knocked us out of our seats. So we got to meet six new (to us)talented people. Also, we got to talk to them informally and got to know some of their friends and family.

All-in all a wonderful special night for us.

Thanks Dave and the porchers.
