That is always on my top ten next CD's to buy list. I always hesitate when I comes to the price of new CD's. Not that this one wouldn't be worth it. There is a certain intimacy that the Bluebird allows that bypasses the need for an artist's recordings there to be of his greatest renditions.
The artists I have heard recorded there perform more like they are drawing the attention of that live audience, not the the thousands who might once purchase the CD from a distance. Apparently, that performance of the three was something special to those lucky enough to be there.
If you can budget it, get it in that light.
Bob R. turned me on to another performer who has a Bluebird CD, and I quite good one. Michael Johnson (Bluer than Blue) has captured the ears of a few of the porchers, I know. No doubt in my mind anyone here would like his recording.
