Back in '77, I was playing in a songwriter golf tournement. I was paired with Larry Gatlin one day. I had known Mickey a short time. Larry was in awe of Mickey and his talent. This was at a time when the Gatlin Bros. had #1 songs & albums all over the place. Mick was still his hero. If he sounds a little like Mick, there might be a reason.
