It does look like we will get hit by heavy rain and wind but we don't live in a low lying area so we won't get too much flooding. The terrible thing about these sneaky little hurricanes, catgory 1 or 2 , is the way they soak the ground, then when the wind moves in, it can take down huge trees. We lost most of our trees in the back to the last hurricane. We have had steady rain all day yesterday and last night. The rain is now increasing and the winds are just beginning to move in and it is dark outside at 9:30 in the morning. It should hit us around 2:00 AM CST Thursday. Why do hurricanes hit in the early morning hours? The County next to us has a mandatory evauation but we haven't been asked to leave yet. We should be safe where we are. I will get back to you and let you all know when it is over. We will probably lose our power some time tonight, so I will get back as soon as I can. Lois, you are in my prayers today.
