Dearest Eve, when I was a little boy my Dad pastored a small church in the country very similar to one in your picture.

Most Sundays, because so many in the congreation loved my Dad and Mom, we usually got invited to dinner after the service. I will never forget one dear old saint, who was our hostess, telling my Mother after one particular Sunday dinner just how much the Lord had blessed her and her husband, by letting them live right in the middle of nowhere all these years.

I'm not sure at the time "in the middle of nowhere" was all that appealing to me, but over the years after traveling down some roads that led away from church and home, I came to realize how truly blessed this dear lady was, and perhaps unknowingly to her, just how much she had blessed me in that moment.

This memory is some forty odd years old. Proof positive that love and kindness endure, and no dwelling place was ever built in any wilderness for any child of God.

All my love, (RandyD)
