I knew it was close, and I knew the loss to come.
Mickey called just a few days ago. Spirits high... Worried about those around him. We laughed, reminisced and said our goodbye's.
I have posted a favorite picture on my web site, but have lost track of who to credit. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a favorite because it was shot in front of the Florabama, where he got the respect he deserved, and because of that old black bag at his side.
You could never imagine the pride I'd feel when he'd reach in that bag and pull out a tape of my songs... and embarrassment for the poor soul he was about to torture with my home demos.
I proudly carried that bag a few times when it seemed he could carry it no further.
We shared a sip off a bottle from that bag the day he helped me face the inevitable loss of my father.
Tonight I remember all the good, and send my love prayers to the family. I know what your house is like tonight.
