My Dad used to play Mickey Newbury albums for me when I was a kid, and he was always one of my favorites. When I started playing music with my band the Convicts, we always brought the house down when we did "Just Dropped In...". I had to tell people over and over it was NOT written by Kenny Rogers, but that Mickey wrote it. We are proud to have been able to perform this song, and at the next show it will be dedicated to Mickey's memory. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives, and may you rest in peace. Our thoughts are with all of Mickey's family, friends, and fans.
