We had some friends drop by last night and when they walked in we were playing a song from "A Long Road Home," Reed listened and asked who the artist was...after about an hour of telling he and his wife about listening to Mickey for the past humpteen years he wanted to know more and more...this went on until the wee hours of the morning and we got to read many of the kind words from THE PORCH...he said over and over how much he wished he had been able to know the music as we did, and now he does, and that will never die...Thanks for the porch, thanks Bob R, Ron L, and everyone that loved the man and his music and had the pleasure of knowing him personally. We feel like we do too and are glad to be a part of this great porch family. God bless you Susan, Mamie, and all the Newbury clan, we are praying for you and know that someday we will all get to be together again, we know that...
