Hello Front Porchers, First let me offer the condolences of the staff of FolkWax for your loss. FolkWax (www.folkwax.com) is a free weekly online publication covering the singer/songwriter genre. We have proudly reviewed Mickey's work and miss him.
In this week's issue we have run a tribute page to Mickey. In compiling the tribute I was so moved by your heartfelt messages that I have quoted some of them, particularly Bob's. Please know that any quotes were taken with the utmost respect for the intimacy that you all offered. I wish I could have published them all. This is indeed a special place and I am certain that the community that Mickey started will live one, as his music will.

The staff at FolkWax offer you our condolences and share in your loss. We all feel that our last minute attempt at tribute was inadequate compared with the truly great and eternal tribute that Mickey left in his music. As one of our editors said, "Newbury was one of the truly greats in my book. His skill as a writer was unique, and is something that will never be replaced." That is so true.
