Mickey was for me a very private person. And I try over the years to respect Susan and Mickey and the childrens privacy. I send from my Holiday trip to Greece a postcard to Susan and Mickey not so long ago, 3-4 weeks - but was not aware of Mickey illness. I contact my good friend sing-/songwriter JIMMY LAYNE WEBB in New York about Mickey dead. J.W. was very touched over my nice word about Mickey. I remember I wrote Mickey long time ago with J.W. phonenumber and that Mickey phone J.W. I am today proud of that one of the worlds rare solo-collection of Mickey N. record are in my hands here in Hilleroed, Denmark, also a Mickey 45 with group Embers from around 1955.

Mickey also recorded a song about Nashville street singer Cortelia Clark. Cortelia Clark record a lp in 1966 and I got this not so long ago and wanted so much to send it to Mickey to have this. For me is Mickey version of "American the beautiful" one of the best version ever recorded.

I will close with some lines from Mickey tune "LOVERS" "When will we learn really what lovin" is" "It`s not what you get in return, but what you give"

Sincerely "the danish connection" erik c
