I got word today of Mickey's death and felt moved to make a post.

I heard Mickey and his music for the first time shortly after I returned from Vietnam. He was appearing at the Cellar Door in Georgetown. The memory of that night never left me and instilled me with a wish to duplicate that experience for any human being willing to take the time to listen.

Mickey, your music will live forever. Thank you for your gift.
