almost time to say our final goodbye, to our sweet, dear friend

a day that will be circled in red, in my mind, forever.

I feel regret for feelings I didn't express, words I didn't say, phone calls not made

if only I had one more chance

I should have said "I love you" more

I should have listened better,

yet

somehow I feel that he knew...

My book on flowers says that Violets are for remembering. I am planting some violets in his memory in my garden. I think it would please him.
