Goodnight, Sweet Prince of The Nightly Vigil... From the first time I heard Mabel Joy on that jukebox in San Fran to the last sweet notes of a Long Road Home you have taken us all on a voyage of immense proportions... You have helped me see myself and my own heartbreaks better through the eyes of the characters in your songs... We are so lucky to have so much of you left here with us to help soothe our hearts that are so sad and so tired of losing... I am so thankful to you and Sweet Handsome Bobby and The Beve for allowing me the honor of being in your Articles page... It was one of the proudest times in my life to be able to be included there with the likes of Joe and Ron... When you called Barb in the hospital in 2000, she didn't even hardly know of your music, only that you were calling her, a stranger, and caring and soothing her after her operation, and she knew that I loved you almost as much as I loved her and she loved you, too then, Mick, and cried for hours today when Dave called she got the message first.... "They moved the moon" today, my brother... "When I looked away, they turned the stars around..." The world has a different feel without you in it... It no longer matters if the sun is shining or if it is raining cause you're not here to share it with... Ride that Blue Train to Glory, my love, and enjoy hearing those train sounds you loved so much... The world has been a far richer place for having you in it and will never be the same again for any of us... It's raining here in New York right now... Only fitting, isn't it, Suze? God Bless ALL of Mick's family... Carry on his name, long and proud... and Mamie,we love you and hug you and bring you a box of rain and a glass of cocoa... Momma, you done good.... Goodnight, Our Prince.... I can hear you saying, All is as it Should Be, stop your crying.... You got it, brother.... Thanks for stopping by.... Hank & Barb, Pomona, NY
