Well, apparently I knew him better than I thought I did. Isn't it interesting that so much of a person can be given to another in a short period of time (if they are the kind of person Mickey was)? Everything you say confirms my feelings. What a nice man. What a loss.
When my grandfather passed away I thought I couldn't stand it, it was such a loss to the world. Then I realized that if everyone who knew him would continue to do something he did, then he would somehow go on living. Not many people outside our family knew him, but I've tried to do that.
Think about how much it will mean to the world if everyone touched by Mickey in some way passes it along to others. What a legacy. He's not really lost to us...just moved on to a bigger venue and more people he can touch.
