Mick was a very good golfer. Playing at Willie's is always a race against the sun...Willie calls it speed golf...if you can't find you ball in 60 seconds, you just drop one where you thought your ball had gone and hit again. Willie always marked his balls with a felt tip pen with a "W". Mick also was an acomplished forger, so he had an extra ball like Willie played and he forged a "W" on it. Waiting for the perfect time, on a par three, Willie hit his first shot over the green and into the woods. Of course, Willie never saw where it went. Mick hit his shot on the green, about ten feet from the pin. While Willie was looking around the green and in the traps for his ball, Mick put his forery in the cup and started yelling like crazy. Everyone danced around and traded high fives. A few holes later, when Willie was lining up a putt, Mick told him what happened. He missed the putt and cussed and fussed while the rest of us were laying on the ground laughing. I don't think he ever played with Mick again.
