My post about Roger Miller was NOT!!,not a slam against the Grand Ole Opry!! I meant what I said, it's the music that makes the Opry, not the Opry that makes the music...the music\songs that have been played over the years are still famous, the "stars" that thought they could make anything a hit because they were big stars are no longer the stars they the percieved themselves to be, get it?.. all the pickers and singers that have been down that road to and from the Opry are like a great big family, like porch people, Roger was a very funny guy, he was just messing with old Ott that night, the story said they was drunk..business folk get so serious and pickers flat don't give a...well anyhow all writers want to do is write and all pickers want to do is pick, SOMEBODY has to book us a gig man, and some of those that do the business are really nice folks but some of them, just like in any business are..I can't say that here...lets just say dragons...NOT Nashville, NOT the Grand Ole Opry, just some of the greedy old thangs that leech off of us...LovePorchLove...and I love you too Connie Smith
