I did see the movie and having read the book much earlier, I think they did a wonderful job of bringing it to the screen. We had an artist here on the Coast, Walter Anderson, who was tortured in much the same way and turned out brilliant work. My favorites by Van Gogh are the "Sunflower" painting and "Starry Night" which seems to have mass appeal. I lean more to more realistic paintings, but I like a lot of his work.
