Last night on Radio 2 in Holland there was a tribute to Mickey in the weekly two-hour programm American Connection. Ruud Hermans said a few words about Mick's carreer and the songs covered by other great artists and two songs were played; How I love them old songs and San Fransisco Mabel Joy, from the live-album. It was short but anyway Dutch radio knows Mickey and seems to understand his importance to music. Amongst my friends Mickey is allready a 'cult-hero' for years. In many ways that is, as a poet and composer, as a singer and guitarist and ever since Mickey answered my mail, as a human being too.
