Dear Aussie Dave, I fully understand what you are feeling and I am sorry for your pain. However, your post is just proof to me that Mickey is smiling at us from Heaven. You were baffled by some of our actions, but never the less you came here and posted your concern. Not in anger, but in puzzlement. You can only feel that safe with people who are like family to you. When I saw the lighthearted posts I felt like the people who were doing it were honoring what Mickey wanted. I never saw it as putting aside grief but simply theire way of paying tribute to Mickey and what he stood for. I have been mostly absent from the Porch because I just had successful surgery to open a blocked carotid artery. I have been having trouble since then keeping my blood pressure down. I found that I couldn't stay on here long because I would cry until there were no tears left. Mickey and his music helped me through a lot of troubles in my adult life and I will mourn his loss forever. Meanwhile, let us all meet here in love and rememberance, and playfullness too!
