No one else can feel your sadness because your experience of Mickey was unique. Each of us might, on but a few occasions in our lifetimes, meet someone so in touch with us at a direct, personal and individual level, that their passing causes a bruising grief.
I will always remembers Mickey's kindeness, generosity and understanding and I will sometimes cry, many years hence, when hearing certain of his words.
Great friends choose their friends well. Like others on the porch - Ron, Bob, Jeff et al - you were a choice friend of the choicest of men. However many reasons you have for sadness, you have, ultimately, many millions times more for happiness.
