Interesting perspective:
"The fact of the matter is, we all pick and choose. We?re all selective in our interpretation and application of the biblical text. The better question to ask one another is why we pick and choose the way that we do, why we emphasis some passages and not others. This, I believe, will elevate the conversation so that we?re using the Bible, not as a blunt weapon, but as a starting point for dialogue."

I'm sure we've both heard our share of silence this year.

Many things have happened since I last posted here.  Good times, sad times.  We must continue on.  It is nice to be surrounded by such great folks.

Richard Marx Blog ? Glen Campbell ? February 5, 2012

"We?re always good at celebrating the work of artists a day or a week too late. Nearly always immediately following their death. And a big part of that is the universally possessed frailty of ?Don?t know what you?ve got ?til it?s gone.? I?m writing this now because I?ve spent the last few days listening to Glen Campbell?s latest, and apparently last CD, ?Ghost On The Canvas,? and I want to say this now..to anyone listening?while Glen?s still around."

There's a promo spot that's been running on the golf channel for a few weeks, featuring a pretty good chunk of this song.

Many years ago I had a regular gig up across the border in Kentucky. The Interstate is carved out of the limestone hills and in the winter, water seeping through outcrops freezes on the surface--- encasing it in blanket of glass.
The mysterious rhinestone cowboy traveled that path many times...

The road down to Nashville's like crystal and stone.

One of the most positive influences our country has outside our borders. We spend less on the Corps per year then we spend in a few hours at war. We should quadruple the budget...
