I am appreciating Mr. Haggard more and more.  I don't know...I never was much of a country fan except for the older stuff...Jim Reeves, Eddie Arnold, Patsy Cline, Bob Wills, even Ernest Tubb.  Maybe I am getting older now but I like Merle...still don't much care for Johnny Cash but that is just me.  Never was an Elvis fan.

I suppose I am stuck in the James Taylor/Cat Stevens era.

Yeah, I know...a lot of what I stated is considered to be blasphemy in some circles.  I suppose that's why there are rows and rows of CDs for sale to suit everyone's taste.

Having stated all of the above, Looks Like Rain and Red Headed Stranger are two of the best albums ever done but I still can't rule out Seventh Sojourn or Dark Side of the Moon as benchmarks.

Just watched this PBS documentary. Really special and highly recommended... even if you're not particularly a Hag fan.
It's a fascinating and well told story.
If you find your local PBS station doesn't have this slated for a rerun, you can watch the entire program here:

It was a great night. What a sweet place to play.
An evening Ron Lyons would have enjoyed.
Got to see Dave and Judy Franklin... haven't seen Judy since the first Gathering for Mickey, Perdido-99.
She hasn't changed. Davis and I have though...

Worth a thousand words. A lot to ask of a generation.

Too little time with you in Texas, LL.

See you in 13 days if I can slip across the border.
I'm not convinced they even let liberal's into Texas any more...

It's 1:15 in the am, guess that makes it Thursday morning, here in Texas.  Am I the only one here awake at this ungodly hour, for a person of 62?

Less than two weeks until I see ya JM.  Can't wait.

love ya, LL
